Revenue went full rocket ship
Unusual Machines says Q2 2026 operating revenue hit $16.7 million, which is the kind of number that makes a small-cap chart look like it drank three espressos. Revenue was up 687% from a year ago and more than doubled from last quarter, with the enterprise segment doing most of the heavy lifting.
The losses are shrinking too
The other big headline: the company trimmed its non-GAAP adjusted EBITDA loss to $400,000 from $1.6 million in Q1. That’s not profit yet, but it is a much friendlier direction of travel. Gross margin held at a solid 34.7%, which matters because growth is nice, but growth that doesn’t torch the margin stack is even nicer.
Why investors are leaning in
A few things stood out in the call:
- The company completed a $60 million capital raise, leaving it with $367.5 million of working capital and no debt.
- Headcount jumped from 141 to 240 as Unusual Machines keeps expanding manufacturing capacity.
- Management said demand remains strong, especially tied to U.S. government drone programs.
- The company is also integrating Upgrade Energy and scaling battery production, which sounds like the kind of operational plumbing that can make or break the next leg up.
The big swing factor
Management laid out an ambitious roadmap: $12 million to $14 million in Q3 revenue, about $25 million in Q4, and a long-term goal of $250 million by 2027. That’s not a gentle incline — that’s a moon mission. The question for investors is whether the company can keep growing this fast without the usual startup gremlins like supply chain hiccups and quality issues showing up again.
Big picture: Unusual Machines is still in the “show me” phase, but this quarter suggests the engine is warming up fast.
