Croatia says yes, Brussels says not so fast
Tesla got approval for Full Self-Driving in Croatia, a neat little win after the broader EU decision was pushed back by two months. If you’re keeping score, that means Tesla can keep pointing to one more European foothold while the larger regulatory puzzle is still unsolved.
Why this matters
For Tesla bulls, every local approval is basically another breadcrumb on the trail to wider adoption. It doesn’t equal continent-wide permission to unleash FSD everywhere, but it does help build momentum—and in Europe, momentum is half the battle.
For everyone else, the timing is the joke: one country says “go,” while the EU as a whole hits snooze. That’s classic regulatory whiplash, and Tesla investors have seen enough of those to know the stock usually prefers the word “approval” over the word “delay.”
Big picture
This is incremental, not transformational. Still, in a business where software scale is the prize, even a small approval can matter more than it looks at first glance.
