Another 75 MW, because apparently power is the new product
Applied Digital is moving fast on its AI infrastructure buildout, and the latest milestone is Polaris Forge 1 phase two, which adds another 75 MW of critical IT load. That’s not just a nerdy utility stat — it’s the kind of capacity headline bulls love, because it suggests more room to sell compute and potentially stack more revenue on top.
Why the market cares
The stock is being valued like a growth story, not a sleepy landlord. At a forward price-to-sales multiple of 3.9x, the bull case says APLD could rerate to 5.0x if it keeps hitting growth targets, which would imply about $32.56 a share, or roughly 28% upside.
The catch? Execution, always execution
The AI capex boom is real, but so is the part where investors want proof instead of PowerPoint confetti. More capacity is great, but the market will want to see that added load turn into actual contracted demand, revenue growth, and margins that don’t make you wince.
Big picture: APLD is trying to turn shovels-and-picks AI demand into a bigger, pricier business. If the buildout keeps moving and customers keep showing up, the valuation story gets a lot more interesting.
