Stablecoins, but make it enterprise
Circle is teaming up with Tereina, an SAP-backed financial services company, to embed USDC and EURC into business workflows. The first stop is SAP Cloud ERP, which is a fancy way of saying the companies want stablecoins to live where enterprises already do their financial chores.
Why this matters
If you own CRCL, this is the kind of headline bulls love to see. It nudges Circle further away from the “crypto token issuer” stereotype and toward the much sexier story: payment infrastructure. And when your product gets woven into the software that helps run global commerce, you’re no longer just riding the crypto wave — you’re trying to become part of the wave maker.
The investor angle
The pitch here is simple:
- more enterprise use cases for USDC and EURC
- deeper integration with SAP’s ecosystem
- another proof point that Circle is trying to make stablecoins boring in the best possible way
Of course, a partnership announcement is not the same thing as instant revenue rocket fuel. But it does help build the case that Circle’s network is getting stickier, and sticky infrastructure tends to matter when investors are trying to guess who wins the next phase of digital payments.
Big picture: every new enterprise integration is one more brick in Circle’s “stablecoins for real business” story.
