The chip soap opera continues
Intel’s Terafab storyline apparently isn’t done doing laps. Bloomberg says Intel will remain involved in Musk’s Terafab chip project, which keeps the company in the conversation as a potential manufacturing partner.
Why you should care
For Intel, this is less about a splashy headline and more about proving its factories can attract serious outside business. If you’re betting on Intel’s comeback, the whole thesis is basically: can it turn those expensive fabs into a real customer magnet?
The real prize
That matters because:
- outside chip work can help fill production capacity
- a Musk-linked project gives Intel a high-profile credibility boost
- any hint of traction in foundry land can move the stock faster than a meme-stock caffeine rush
Big picture
This is still a “stay tuned” situation, not a signed-the-check-and-popped-champagne one. But when Intel stays in the room for a project this visible, investors tend to lean in — because in semis, being invited to the party is often half the battle.
