ARK goes onchain
Cathie Wood’s ARK Invest is taking the ARK Venture Fund to Ethereum, which is a pretty 2026 sentence if there ever was one. Instead of being locked in the usual private-fund velvet rope situation, the fund is now being made available through crypto rails.
Why investors should care
The hook here isn’t just the blockchain gloss. The fund holds some of the buzziest private names in tech — think SpaceX and OpenAI — so opening a new access point could broaden demand and make ARK’s product more visible to crypto-native investors.
That said, this is less about an immediate earnings pop and more about ARK experimenting with distribution. If tokenized funds catch on, other asset managers may decide they want a seat at the table too.
The bigger picture
- More traditional finance products are drifting onto blockchain infrastructure.
- ARK gets a marketing boost and a potentially wider investor funnel.
- Crypto investors get a shot at exposure to private-company fantasy football without needing a venture-capital passport.
Big picture: this is one more sign that Wall Street’s old plumbing is getting a blockchain remodel — messy, flashy, but very real.
